What is the ROCKMATCH?

The project ROCKMATCH was originally set in to help a few Brno bands to play together, to gather some music experience and to teach the bands how to communicate with their fans.

A not too especially promoted project hold the interest of hundreds of music bands that wanted the most important thing for a band – to play in front of an audience.

The principle is easy – 3 bands, each of them plays 45 minutes. The fans throw their valid entrance tickets to the voting box marked with the name of their favorite band. The band that gathers the most of the tickets gets a winning fork and becomes the challenger for the next pool, where there will be other two bands playing against it.

The project includes: carefully worked-out rules, a rock “service” portal, and concerts in many clubs around the whole of the Czech Republic, engagement of other types of media, fans and practically the whole music world. The project will engage everyone and maybe even find some new stars.

One of the aims of the project is to teach the bands not only work on themselves and use the maximum of possibilities and contacts from the portal, but also to start to work with their fans systematically.

In contrast to other projects of a similar kind this one gives the chance of a quick correction of mistakes - the band can go back to the project after three months with a new or a differently organized fan club, because the fan is a very important element in this project.

ROCKMATCH for bands or how to compete?

Send up your band into a competition, where you will be allowed to do the most important thing for a band – to play!

Choose one of ten regions, within which you would like to compete and register your band on the web pages Rockmatch.cz. If you do that, you rank among 50 the earliest registered bands; you get into the queue for the hit. If this doesn’t happen, you have to wait for the bands that have already played in the regional round to come out. You will gradually be climbing up the ladder until you get into the queue for the hit.

Now you have to enable your fans, because it’s their turn now. The three bands from the queue for the hit that get the highest number of SMS votes will move up the ladder to the regional competitive round.

You mustn’t underestimate the fans before the competition, because the more of them come, the higher are your chances to win. The band wins, that gets the highest number of votes from the fans present at the particular concert. The winner gets an imaginary fork and becomes the challenger of the next round of the regional competition. This is why only two bands from the queue for the hit move up in the next rounds.

If your band manages to win in three regional rounds in a row, it becomes the challenger of the competitive round in a different region.

At the latest on November 30, 2010 the national final is going to take place, the winner of which will gain prizes in the worth of 300, 000 Czech crowns.

ROCKMATCH doesn’t support coincidence; you and your abilities are always the ones that decide on the prize. The world of each ROCKMATCH fan is full of action, nontraditional experiences and it is also a place, where a lot of good amusement hides.
